PastorWalter Turner, Jr.

Pastor Walter Turner, Jr. is the Pastor of Grace Congregational Church in Houston, Texas and is also one of the founding members.  Pastor Turner was ordained in 1988 as the Youth Pastor of Grace Congregational Church.  In 1994 the late Bishop R.L. Finney, Sr., the founding Pastor of Grace Congregational Church, following the leading of the Holy Spirit, named Pastor Turner as his Assistant and Successor to the Pastorate of Grace Congregational Church. 

Pastor Turner has served in various leadership roles at Grace Congregational Church.  He was involved in prison ministry for twenty five years and has a passion to see men actively involved in the ministry of the Church.  In 2010, Pastor Turner succeeded Bishop Finney as Pastor of Grace Congregational Church.  As a leader, he endeavors to ensure members of Grace Church be equipped to become mature believers, as they all strive toward unity in their faith.  Pastor Turner says, “I simply want to be known as a worshipper.” 

Pastor Turner is married to the lovely and creative Leanda Turner.  They have four sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren.  Pastor Turner is committed to advancing the Kingdom and to reaching this generation for the cause of Christ.
