ABOUT US

Grace Congregational Church was founded on December 7, 1973 by the late Bishop Richard L. Finney, Sr.  As Bishop Finney's vision, given by God, grew, so did the church. The late Bishop Finney was an innovator and trailblazer who was not afraid to step away from tradition and lead Grace Congregational Church in truth and love. Annointed of God, Bishop Walter Turner, Jr. was installed as Senior Pastor in October 2010 and God has continued to move and work through our ministry under the leadership of Bishop Turner.

OUR VISION

Our Vision is empowered by the Spirit of God, we will endeavor to follow the example of our Lord Jesus the Christ.

To proclaim the gospel to those hungry.

To hear and heal those brokenhearted by situations of life.

To bring deliverance to those who are bound by sin and sight to those who are spiritually blind.

To offer freedom to those oppressed by evil. To announce to all "Today is the day of salvation."

WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE the Scriptures contain the inspired, infallible (unalterable) Word of God, written by holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE in one God who is infinite in power, Holy in nature, attributes and purposes, omniscient and omnipresent.  WE BELIEVE that He was revealed to us; Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Spirit in His comforting Grace that never leaves those who trust Him.

WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth that Jesus was both human and divine – God manifest in the flesh.

WE BELIEVE in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.  WE BELIEVE that He ascended on high and has sent His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, which was poured out at Jerusalem over 2000 years ago and is filling the hearts of those who diligently seek Him today.

WE BELIEVE in baptism in water by immersion in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sin, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance.

WE BELIEVE in a Holy, sanctified life, divine healing, communion and feet washing and the glorious catching away of the Saints.

WE BELIEVE in keeping the Ten Commandments as given by God to His people.  This includes the keeping of the Seventh- Day Sabbath (Saturday).

WE BELIEVE in our oneness with God, and being His manifestation in the earth.

OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to bring the Gospel of Jesus the Christ, not merely in word, but in action,  to every man, woman, boy and girl we meet. Many times these persons are the poor, the powerless, the disenfranchised, and the hurting.

While often times we may not have all the necessary resources here at Grace Congregational Church to bear on the lives of those who accept Jesus Christ, we trust God to help us do all we can and then lead us to others who can assist us in fulfilling our mission.

It is our mission to meet the needs, both spiritual and physical, of the whole man through the Gospel of Jesus the Christ.

WE WELCOME YOU

We hope that you'll decide to join us in one of our live Sabbath services, a Bible class, or one of our prayer times. We'd love the opportunity to serve you as we give ourselves to His service for your betterment.
